If you like the country experience, this is the place for you. And while the food might be considered average, the home made bake goods more than make up for the mediocre menu items.
We were greeted warmly and treated like family. The food was prepared right there and delivered promptly. Excellent breakfast! We’ll be back for sure. Country store had all your snacks and drinks for adventures.
I am a local resident and have went to Hickory Tree for a VERY long time. Trust me when I say that the store just isn't what it used to be. Not only has the staff changed but so has the mozzarella sticks as well as the burger sizes. We pay $30 for our same order every time, the last 4 times we have ate here they have given my husband a grilled cheese or egg sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise despite him asking for them plain. Not only is this a good chunk of change, but it's not what we order and I hate seeing my husband disappointed when he gets home whenever used to we'd be extatic to eat Hickory Tree. I'm unsure as to why they insist on adding extra to his order, but unfortunately it's enough to make us not want to eat here anymore, it just doesn't feel worth the money.
